Seeking help from people

You might have been asked at least once in your life that "Who would you ask for help if you are stuck in a bad situation?" And I wonder what had been your answer at that time, or even now if I ask you this question; just think for a minute or two that who will be the first one that you would ask for help when you have a problem?

So what was your answer? Did you also think of a close friend, siblings, parents, or any other human being to seek help in bad times?

Don't worry we all do that. But, have you ever thought that why do we do that? Why we are so prone to seek help from people first rather than Allah?

I think that all of us have this affinity to find comfort in our fellow human beings. We try to find the solution to our problems from people close to us. We think that they are going to give us a solution in the blink of an eye and all of our problems will vanish. Okay maybe they won't finish right off or you won't get a solution at that very moment but still, you have a feeling that you will feel calm and at peace; and sometimes it is all that you need. But what if those closed ones whom we thought would help us in our bad times don't do anything to help us out?

What if we are left alone to face the storm and the ones we thought would come up to rescue us just stay in their shelter protecting themselves?

What if when all you need is to share your feelings with those closed ones but they don't show up?

Also, we humans, tend to think that the problems and circumstances of others are nothing difficult in front of ours. But why is there a comparison? Allah tests all of us at different levels and through different situations then why do we always come up “tumhary sath toh Itna bura ni hua jitna mere sath hua tha” I mean seriously? Is there a competition going on?

The biggest mistake that we all do in bad times is seeking help from people rather than Allah. I don’t know what overpowers our emotions that we think of sharing our situation with people rather than Allah. Allah is Al-Baseer (All-Seeing) and Al-Sami (All-Hearing) He sees whatever circumstances you're going through and He hears every plea of yours. How do we forget that Allah loves to hear from His people and in the Quran, Allah says that “Allah never burdens a soul more than it can bear” (2:286) and “Indeed, with every hardship comes ease” (94:6)

Have faith and trust in Allah and keep in mind that Allah is Al-Qadir (The One who can do anything) so if He wills to do something for it will be done even if it seems impossible to you. Nothing is difficult or impossible for Him, so just supplicate and seek help from Him.

I pray that anyone who is reading this, may Allah fulfills all your fair wishes, and may He reward you for all the difficulties you are facing right now. May He brings ease in your every hardship and gives you patience and persistence to deal with every kind of situation.
